In late April of 2016, I noticed a lump had formed just outside of my nipple on my right breast. My initial thought was maybe it was a calcium deposit of some sort.
It couldn’t possibly have breast cancer at 31, right?
Wrong.
“Although breast cancer is rarely diagnosed in teens, a small number of patients – less than 2 percent, according to the National Cancer Institute – are diagnosed with breast cancer before the age of 34.”
